MORE CONTROL. MORE POSSIBILITIES.
Your setup.
Your way to shoot.
From a group photo to a two-angle video: keep the controls where you are.
01Two cameras, one remote
Watch both live previews and use shared photo, start and stop controls. Adjust either camera individually. Scheduled start coordinates recording commands; it does not promise frame-accurate sync. Two cameras need three phones.
02Shoot without internet
Connect on the same Wi-Fi network, or create a phone hotspot when there is no router. Local preview, commands and file transfers work without internet. Use internet mode for cameras on different networks.
03A live view while recording
Check framing before and during video. Shoot silent video without microphone permission. Hide the camera phone’s preview while it keeps capturing; keep the camera app open.
04The controls you need
Pinch to zoom, adjust focus and exposure, switch cameras, use photo flash or a video torch. Choose a 3- or 10-second timer. Portrait and landscape layouts adapt to your phone.
054K and manual exposure
Choose available video resolutions and frame rates, up to 4K, plus photo size. Set ISO and shutter speed manually or return to Auto. Available settings depend on the camera, lens and capture mode.
06Formats that fit your devices
Use JPEG photos, or HEIF with compatible iOS cameras and receivers. H.264 and HEVC video choices depend on the iOS camera and receiving device. Unsupported options stay unavailable.
07A gallery for every angle
Browse received photos and videos by camera and take. Save copies to Photos, share them, and export a take’s file list. Originals remain on the camera phone; receiving copies is optional.
08Reconnect and keep your work
Pair by QR code or link, discover nearby cameras and return to saved pairs. Resume interrupted transfers and recover pending files. A camera can keep recording when the remote disconnects; reconnect to check or stop it.
Update both apps for the latest features. Availability depends on app version, hardware and permissions. Keep Remote Camera open on each camera phone. Hotspot availability depends on the phone and carrier.
NO EXTRA GADGETS
A great shot.
Three simple steps.
A tripod, a steady shelf or a table. Everything else is already in your phones.
01 /Set up your camera
Open Remote Camera on the phone that will capture. Choose your angle and leave the app open.
02 /Connect your remote
Open Remote Shutter on the other phone. Follow the instructions in the apps to connect them with a QR code.
03 /Step into the frame
Check the image on your remote. Take a photo or start recording without walking back to the camera.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST SHOT
A few useful details.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. In local mode, connect the devices to the same Wi-Fi or to a phone hotspot. A hotspot replaces the router. Local preview, capture commands and file transfers do not need internet. Premium activation or verification may need a network connection.
Can I lock the camera phone?
Keep Remote Camera open in the foreground. The app keeps the screen awake while it is in use.
Can I mix iPhone and Android?
Yes. Use Remote Camera on the phones that capture and Remote Shutter on the controller. One camera needs two devices; two cameras need three. Update both apps for the latest features.
Where are photos and videos saved?
Originals are saved on the camera phone. You can enable file delivery to the remote separately in the capture settings.
Is a subscription required?
Remote Camera is the free camera companion. Remote Shutter requires Premium. Weekly and yearly plans, local prices and trial eligibility appear before purchase. No app account is required.
